The official colour of the year chosen by the experts at Pantone is Marsala. For some it's an earthy, rich tone, which reminds us of good food, wine (Marsala is a dark, sweet dessert wine produced in the Sicily, near the city of Marsala), for others it's associated with all kinds of bodily functions....

 I do like the smooth, elegant richness of it, but I also find it a bit heavy, like a heavy perfume, which sort of makes it more mature with a lot of drama. I can see it as a rug, definitely, maybe a wallpaper. 

I think my Hungarian Rhapsody rug would look great in Marsala - it has the weight and the drama.
